LAHORE (PR) - Wapda and electricity workers demand of the management to provide safer working conditions in order to prevent the accidents of the line staff during their duty. It was also demanded of the govt to allocate adequate resources for building new damns for developing hydel energy and coal fired thermal power stations to overcome serious loadshedding. These demands were raised in the 68th National General Body Session of Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union (CBA) held at Bukhtiar Labour Hall on Wednesday. The session was presided over by Abdul Latif Nizamani, President of the Union. Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary of the Union presented a detailed report about the activities of the Union for promotion of welfare of the workers and making concerted struggle to save the national public utility from threat of privatisation on the behest of IMF and World Bank.
