LAHORE - Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Ahmad Khosa on Wednesday called on Editor-in-Chief of TheNation and Managing Director of the Nawa-i-Waqt Group, Majid Nizami, here. They exchanged views on different issues, especially the new political situation in the country. The governor requested Majid Nizami to play his role for continuation of democracy in the country. He said the role played by Nawa-i-Waqt right from establishment of Pakistan to its reconstruction, was highly commendable. He said that Nawa-i-Waqt group remained stick to its policy and principled stance on national issues despite all odds. No threat or fear could deter Majid Nizami from pursuing his ideas and policy, he added. Khosa also lauded Majid Nizamis role in propagation of Pakistan Ideology and dissemination of this message to the young generation. The governor guidance from the TheNation Editor-in-Chief on different issues, assuring that government would implement his advice. Speaking on the occasion, Majid Nizami said that democratic process in the country should not be de-railed through unconstitutional means. He said all political parties will have to get united to save democracy. He said all politicians should work for the country rising above their personal interests. He said this was the only way to make Pakistan the country of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
