MIRPUR - Like rest of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Yom-e-Ashur was observed on Friday to commemorate the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions for the cause of Islam, righteousness and justice.

Main procession-started from Markazi Imambargah Sadaat Colony and reached its destination amid tight security. Those joined the Muharram processions were thoroughly frisked by the security men.
