DCO Imtiaz Niazi kicked off anti-polio campaign by administering polio vaccine to children under five years age at DHQ Hospital here on Saturday. The three-day anti-polio campaign will formally start from Nov 18.

EDO Health Dr Amjad Iqbal, DO Health Dr Ziaullah, DHQ Hospital MS Dr Tanveer, Coordinator Mother and Child Program Khalid Ranjha, DMS Dr Makhdoom Tariq, Dr Mehdi, Dr Umar Paracha and Arif Hussain Dar were also present on the occasion who also administered polio drops to children.

Earlier, in a meeting with doctors, the DCO emphasised that doctors were Messiahs therefore they should treat the patients with courtesy and kindness. The patients pin hope on doctors for their recovery and if doctors deal them with due kindness way half of their disease stands disappeared.

Earlier, the EDO in his briefing on outline plan of polio campaign, said that he had appointed 118 Area In charge, formed 544 Mobile Teams, 63 Fixed Teams, 46 Transit Points.
