The geopolitical developments in the region presented a good opportunity to Pakistan’s fresh fruit and vegetable exporters and the interest of potential partners was demonstrated by their visit to TDAP stall during the exhibition and their desire to establish business partnerships in the region.
The Pakistani companies’ stall was visited by different associations and potential partners including representatives of Association of Trade Enterprises of Kazakhstan, multifunctional trade complex “Zhetisu”, “Silk Way” trade holding, agro holding “Soyuz Plodoovosh” and others. B2B sessions were arranged for the companies with the largest retail chain representatives of Central Asia, namely, “AAS Food”, “GREEN Mart”, “Galmart”, “Interfood”, “KENMART”, “METRO Cash & Carry”, Ramstore Kazakhstan, “SMALL” and “Seven Days”.
Keeping in view the new changing scenario in Kazakhstan economy , Pakistani companies decided to change their business model and have decided to register their companies in Kazakhstan. By registering their companies in Kazakhstan, the Pakistani companies are aiming not only to overcome supply-side constraints but also are trying to minimize the transaction risk due to limited usage of financial instruments in the region.
