Islamabad:The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has completed an inquiry of CDA’s Grand Hyatt Islamabad Hotel plot allotment scandal. According to the initial inquiry report of mega corruption worth of Rs. 8 billion has been revealed, in the plot allotment process.

NAB’s officials have conducted an investigation of plot allotted for the construction of five-star Grand Hyatt Islamabad Hotel, on the special directions of Public Accounts Committee (PAC). It is clearly indicated in the inquiry that CDA’s officials had widely violated all rules and regulations in the allotment of plot, facilitating its blue-eyed worth billions of rupees. According to report it made damages worth of Rs. 8 billion to national exchequer.

It also revealed in report that the owner of the hotel did not pay due installments of this plot so far. However CDA’s officials had handed over possession rights of plot to the owner.

The former Chairman of authority and high-ups of State Commercial department had declared responsible of this mega corruption in report. The future of corrupt personalities involved in this mega corruption scandal, will be decided in the next NAB Board’s meeting in the light the inquiry report. The sources further stated that a member of sitting cabinet is also involved in this mega scandal indirectly.
