Islamabad: Pakistan has conveyed to Afghan government deep concern over the increasing instances of cross-border shelling from Afghanistan. "These instances are direct threat to the common objective of peaceful co-existence between the two neighboring countries," the Foreign Office stated.

The FO further said: "We have urged Afghanistan to take appropriate action to prevent these wanton incidents."

Five rockets were fired from Afghanistan at Angoor Adda Check Post in South Waziristan on Sunday. Military authorities of Afghanistan were immediately contacted to prevent further escalation of the situation. According to ISPR, Pakistani forces also fired in the direction from which rockets were fired. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
