Rawalpindi - An under-trial prisoner (UTP) arrested in connection with a murder case fled police custody after attending a hearing here at District Courts yesterday. The accused was identified as Majid. Police have so far failed in apprehended the escapee. A case was registered against the police team.

According to Chaudhry Muhammad Raffique, station house officer of police station Civil Line, a police team headed by Assistant Sub-Inspector Murtaza brought Majid before Additional and Sessions Judge (ASJ) Ashfaq from Adiala Jail. He said the police team was escorting the accused out of the court when he taking advantage of rush unlocked the handcuffs and ran away.
