KARACHI: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has rejected the appeal plea of Rangers seeking cancellation of bail granted to MQM leader Amir Khan.

Appeal plea filed by Rangers against MQM leader Amir Khan’s bail came up for hearing before ATC on Thursday. The Rangers counsel took the plea that there are solid evidence available against Amir Khan, therefore his bail be cancelled.

Court remarked that if anyone has recorded evidence against Amir then it should be presented. The Rangers counsel said that people fear and no one is ready to give evidence.

The court remarked that now terrorism sun has drowned completely in Karachi and people have started to talk and nobody fears now. If anyone violates law then law should take its course. But court has nothing to do with political matters. The court approved Amir’s bail due to poor investigation and he was entitled to this bail.

It is pertinent to mention here that Amir Khan was arrested from Nine Zero on March 11, 2015, and case of providing refuge to terrorists was registered against him.
