FAISALABAD/OKARA-The Judiciary has arranged various programmes in connection with the sesquicentennial celebrations of Lahore High Court.

District & Sessions Judge Abid Hussain Qureshi said that District Judicial Conference on the subject of “Upholding the Rule of Law” would be held on 19th of November at Circuit House in which the people attached with profession of law, officers of district administration and representatives of civil society would participate.

He said that a cricket match between Faisalabad and Toba Tek Singh judiciary would be played at Iqbal Stadium on 20th November while students of various educational institutions would visit the distinct courts on November 21. They would be apprised of the system of judiciary.

He said that the sesquicentennial activities of Lahore High Court would be celebrated with a befitting manner and necessary arrangements are being finalised with the coordination of district and police administrations.

The DCO and CPO pledged full cooperation from district administration and district police and said active participation would also be ensured in the celebrations.

Later, District and Sessions Judge Abid Hussain Qureshi met with mediamen and told them the details of events regarding the celebrations.

The celebrations are under in Okara district judiciary. The first phase events in this connection were held with Mehafal-i-Milad, torch-bearing walk from the sessions court to the main intersection of the district complex, a cricket match was played between the district administration and police team verses the district judiciary team. In this connection, the judicial officers donated blood.
