Lahore  -  Applications for admission to Class 6 of Punjab daanish schools for Boys & Girls can be submitted until Nov 27 while the test will be held on December 10.

For admissions to Class 6, the age bracket is 10-12 for boys and 10-13 for girls. 10 percent seats have been kept for self-financing students.

Apart from the seats reserved for deserving children from Punjab, a quota has also been allocated for the children from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Fata and AJK as well.

The criteria are as follows: Total income of parents must not exceed Rs15,000; the child must be orphan, having lost both of parents and having no guardian; he/ she must be an orphan and living with his or her mother; he/she must be a school dropout; parents do not have any fixed job or source of income; he or she must not be the resident and neither of his or her parents is a semi-skilled or skilled menial village worker; he or she must be the resident of a town, tehsil or district headquarters and he or she resides in a Katcha house.
