Recently, 1st International Youth Summit Lahore 2017, November 6-12 was held in Lahore. The main purpose of IYSL was to discuss the role of youth in achieving peace, education and sustainable development.120 plus delegates came from across the globe to discuss and share their ideas related to SDGs in Lahore. Pakistan is the one of the richest country in terms of youth population. It is the very right place to discuss all issues related to SDGs. Pakistan was the first ever country that adopted UN global goals at its National agenda through the parliament. It was also the first country in the world who declared UN SDGs for development agenda.

Sustainable Development Goals are a set of 17 global goals with 169 targets. The SDG,s are officially known as “Transforming our world” in 2030 agenda for sustainable development. The SDGs were developed as follow on to the MDG,s which expired in 2015.The 17 SDGs are no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life and land, peace, justice and strong institutions, partnerships for the goals.
