PESHAWAR - At least four personnel of security forces were killed and 30 policemen were injured when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive laden vehicle into the Mingora Police Station on Thursday. Those who were killed included three persons of security forces and one Assistant Sub-Inspector of police. They were identified ASI Naeem, Riaz, Ijaz and Mujahid Iqbal. Those who were injured were identified as Ayamullah, Yaseen Khan, Rahat Khan, Rahim Khan, Waheedullah, Shafiullah, Hukam Khan, Anwar, Yousaf Khan, Abdullah, Wazir Khan, Haisata Mir, Sani Gul, Amanullah, saeed-ullah, Naem Shah,Hazrat wali, Ali Ghafar, Abdul Wali, Mohammad Ibrahim, Habib-urahman, Syed Afzal, Moedullah, Noor Rahman, Zahir Khan, Yousaf, Naheed-ur-rahman, Darbaza Khan, Salih Mohammad and Pir zar Badshah. All the injured were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital, Swat where some of them were in critical condition. The blast was so severe that it also damaged the nearby houses, markets and a hotel. The blast also damaged the Mal Khana of the confiscated arms and ammunition. Prior to the blast Taliban also attacked Mingawara police station with rockets and sophisticated weapons due to which its boundary wall and gate were badly damaged. Soon after the blast police and officials of the secret agencies cordoned off the area and started collecting the evidence. The head of the suicide bomber was recovered from the site, which has been sent to Islamabad for DNA test. Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan spokesman for Swat Chapter has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack on Mingawara police station. Meanwhile, the security forces also pounded the suspected hideouts of the militants through gunship helicopters and artillery in Allam Ganj area of Tehsil Matta. However, there were no reports of any casualties.
