LAHORE - ACCA Pakistan High Achievers were honored the opportunity to meet Governor Punjab, Salman Taseer at Governor House in presence of leadership from ACCA Pakistan including Mr Arif Masud Mirza, Head of ACCA Pakistan, Mr Haroon A Jan, Head of Business Development, Dr Afra Sajjad, Head of Education and Policy Development and Muhammad Shahid Khan, Business Development Manager. Governor, Salman Taseer stressed the importance of a professional accountancy qualification and was of the opinion that Pakistan has an infinite potential of economic growth and development. He congratulated ACCA and the high achievers on their achievement and encouraged the latter to work for the benefit of the country. He added that once the businesses and overall economy of Pakistan grows, many young business leaders will get opportunities to emerge on the private as well as the public sector landscape. Honorable governor awarded certificates to nine global winners and 23 national winners of the ACCA and CAT exams held in December 2009 and June 2010. While expressing his gratitude to the Governor Punjab, Mr Arif Mirza said that ACCA Pakistan is very proud of these competent young men and women for not only excelling in their exams but also representing ACCA as its brand ambassadors.
