LAHORE Pakistani racing driver Adnan Sarwar fought back from the back of the grid after a fuel pump failure his Rotax Max car earlier left his left leg slightly burnt and pushed him to the back of the grid. Racing in the Sodi World Series Masters category this weekend against some of the most experienced drivers, the Bank Alfalah supported racing driver was pushed to the back of the grid at the start of the race and fought back to overtake nine drivers in the blistering 15 laps and finished in fifth place scoring valuable championship points. Such was his pace that he moved up to second place before being involved in an incident which pushed him back further. He set a fastest lap time of 1:07:345. A very good result considering I havent been in a race car for eight months as there are no race tracks in Pakistan and that we started at the very back of the grid. However, it is our target to start getting podiums and race wins for Pakistan within next six months. We are very close, said Adnan.
