LAHORE Punjab Lok Lehr in collaboration with Punjabi Adabi Sangat held Mir Mela in connection with 3rd death anniversary of noted Punjabi poet Ali Arshad Mir at Punjab Institute of Art, Language and Culture on Sunday. Writers and poets lauded the services of Ali Arshad Mir for Punjabi language and poetry. They said Ali Arshad Mir would live in the hearts of Punjabi lovers across the world for next 1,000 years. On the occasion, a number of Punjabi poets and writers including Ahmed Aqeel Roobi, Amjad Ali Shakir, Dr Sughra Sadaf, Sofia Bedar, Saif Ullah Saif, Farooq Nazir, Hasan Junaid and others put light on the life of Ali Arshad Mir and his service for Punjabi literature. Later, a musical evening and Mushaira were also held wherein the poets presented their verses to pay tributes to Ali Arshad Mir. It is to be noted that late Punjabi legend Ali Arshad Mirs poetry is taught in India and Canada.
