Governor, PPP leaders visit hospital

LAHORE-Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khan Khosa along with Federal Minister for Defence Ch Ahmed Mukhtar and Chairman Board of Investment Saleem Mandiwala paid a visit to Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore here on Sunday. They went to the Dengue Patient Ward and inquired about the health of patients. They also asked about the provision of medical facilities being given to the dengue patients in the hospital. On this occasion the Governor Punjab handed over the dengue medicines imported from Germany and asked the doctors to give a feedback regarding the recovery of patients treated with the medicines, so that more hospital could benefit from it. Talking to the media on the occasion, the defence minister said that Pakistan had no written agreement with the US regarding drone attacks. Meanwhile, Governor Punjab said Islam is a religion of peace which believes in the dignity of mankind, therefore youth should inculcate the message of peace and focus their energies and potential for securing educations integrated with research and technology. He was talking to a delegation of Jamat-e-Islami led by Liaquat Baloch which called on him at Governor House on Sunday. Governor said hatred and violence was damaging the image of Islam and We should rise above the prejudice and strive to end secretarianism among Muslims. He said Islam was spread through indoctrinate of dignity, equality of human beings which mesmerized the whole world. He said this was an era of knowledge and youth have to play their role to revive the glory, grandeur of Islam which was our pride heritage.
