IOs directed to ensure presence in courts

LAHORE - Capital City Police Officer Ahmad Raza Tahir has directed all police officials of operations and investigation wings to ensure their presence in cases along with complete challans. The CCPO directed DIG Operations and DIG Investigation to make bound their subordinates (investigation officers) to make sure their presence in the courts on the courts fixed dates and there should be induction of one inspector in courts to check the presence of the investigation officers and other police officials so that cases could be decided on time. He directed all police officials concerned to register the cases on time and those indulged in delays would be met with stern disciplinary actions. He further directed that record of important and serious cases should be presented by IOs concerned on time and those found in delays and corruption in this regard should not be spared. 137 criminals nabbed: Mujahid Squad arrested 137 criminals including eight proclaimed offenders involved in various crimes like business of liquor, heroine and gambling in last week and it also recovered weapons in heavy quantity from their possession. The DIG Operations has given task to SP Mujahid Raomail Akram of improving the performance of Emergency Service 15 and the SP has directed all its subordinates inclusive DSPs and incharges of their areas to nab and arrest the criminals. The SP in his directives to his subordinates said that he would be visiting and checking the performance of Emergency Services 15 on any complaint of citizen and in routine as well. Mujahid Squad in its some days ago crackdown against criminals collected around 30 pistols, bullets, magazines, 158 bottles of liquor, and gambling money from 137 criminals and registered 117 cases against them.
