ISLAMABAD - The International Judo Federation (IJF) has launched last week the website dedicated to the World Judo Day, which will be celebrated on October 28th. The theme of that first edition of the event will be "RESPECT". And it is appreciated by Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) and as a member wants to be a follower and wants to maintain the same culture in Pakistan also, this was revealed by Secretary PJF in an exclusive talk with The Nation on Sunday. To pay tribute to the young scholar Jigoro Kano (1860-1938), Kyuzo Mifune and Jigoro Kano, founder of judo in Japan in 1882, Pakistan Judo Federation will arrange events to tell the brief history of judo to the participants as Kano wanted to develop a system of physical education suitable for the newly emerging Japanese public educational system, he added.
