THATTA/NAUDERO  - As part of the ongoing protest the Save Sindh Committee against imposing dual local government system in the province, the Awami Tehreek blocked highways at Gharo and Sujawal on Tuesday.

The Awami Tehreek activists led by Rasool Bakhsh Rahujo, Arif Junejo and Ashraf Palijo took out rally and staged sit-in at Sujawal-Badin highway to block it for vehicular traffic while a rally led by Mazhar Rahujo and Bilawal Lashari blocked national highway at Gharo. They also offered funeral prayers in absentia for those martyred in firing during the protest in different towns of Sindh.

Similarly, scores of activists of the Awami Tehreek including men and women blocked the national highway at Dadu-Moro road, protesting against the dual system of local government in Sindh. The highway blocking started at 12 noon and continued for three hours during which hundreds of vehicles stuck up. PPP-SB stages demo against SPLGO

Meanwhile, in Naudero, scores of the PPP-SB activists held a protest demonstration against the new LG system.

The protesters led by Waryam Channo, Sahib Khan Shaikh, Salim Channo, Mumtaz Sethar, Miskeen Samo and others marched on roads holding banners and chanting slogans against the ruling coalition parties. Later, they staged a sit-in at the Press Club and said that they would never accept the government’s decision. They urged the rulers to refrain from bids to divide Sindh province.
