LAHORE – Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said on Tuesday that the party has worked out its strategy for the next elections that would be made public after the announcement of the election schedule.

Chairing a meeting at Mansoora on Tuesday, Baloch asked Jamaat-e-Islami workers and leaders to prepare for elections and arrange corner meetings of the party’s candidates from each constituency. He hoped that the Jamaat-e-Islami would give a surprise to the nation in the upcoming polls.

Baloch said that the PPP and its allies had brought disgrace to the country by putting on the yoke of US slavery, unprecedented corruption and plunder of the national wealth, besides causing unemployment and price hike.

He believed that the masses would reject these parties in the upcoming polls. The Jamaat-e-Islami, he said, had already announced its manifesto, which is revolutionary and ensures solution to problems of the masses.
