LAHORE – The Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) organised Hurmat-e-Rasool (PBUH) conferences and rallies across the country including the City on Tuesday to condemn and protest against the anti-Islam movie and blasphemous caricatures.

In Lahore, hundreds of people participated in the Hurmat-e-Rasool (PBUH) Conference at Madina Chowk Bhagat Pura.

Addressing the participants, JuD central leader Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar Al-Madni said that the West should keep in mind the consequences of anti-Islam movies and blasphemous caricatures.

He urged the West to correct its policies and avoid hurting the sentiments of one and half a billion Muslims in the world.  Al-Madni also demanded hanging of Terry Jones and other blasphemers. He urged the Muslim countries to boycott the US if it refused to take action against those involved in blasphemy.

Bashir Ahmed Khaki said that Obama’s refusal to ban the anti-Islam movie was a slap on the faces of rulers of Muslim countries. He said that the US was responsible for increasing incidents of blasphemy and Muslim countries should play their due role to protect the honour of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said that the West would be responsible for any clash among civilisations in future.
