RAWALPINDI - Foiling a bid of drug smuggling, Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) apprehended a man on Tuesday after recovering 50 heroin-filled capsules from his stomach at Benazir Bhutto Islamabad International Airport (BBIIAP).

According to sources, the man, later identified as Amjad Abbas of Khushab, was proceeding to Abu Dhabi by PIA flight PK-217. The ANF staff, deputed on the airport, found his activities suspicious. The ANF captured him and during the investigation he confessed that he swallowed 50 capsules of heroin, the sources added.

He was sent to the hospital where 50 capsules filled with heroin were recovered by the doctors. Later, a case has been registered against the smuggler while further interrogation was underway.
