LAHORE - The Chief Minister Punjab National Ju-jitsu Championship will be played here from November 4 at Sports Gymnasium adjacent to National Hockey Stadium.

The two-day event will help in picking up the national team to take part in the Punjab international sports festival ju-jitsu championship being played from Nov 7-10, said Khalil Ahmad Khan, Pakistan Ju-jitsu Federation president here on Tuesday.  He said teams from allover the country will take part in the national championship which is a regular annual feature and aims at further promotion of the game.

Bouts will be held in following weight categories (men) 50kgs, 56kgs, 62kgs, 69kgs, 77kgs, 85kgs, 94kgs, above 94kgs, (women) 48kgs, 55kgs, 62kgs,70kgs and above, (Ne Waza System) men, 60kgs, 66kgs, 73kgs, (women) 52kgs, 58kgs and 70kgs. (Duo System) men, women mix bouts.

He said the bouts would be held under the technical rules of world ju-jitsu federation and various committees have been formed to hold the event in a befitting manner.
