Attock-Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam has said that government is spending billions on provision of health facilities to the people and its ample proof is under-construction Mother and Child Hospital Attock which will be completed at the cost of Rs6 billion. He said this during his visit to the aforesaid under-construction hospital. He was accompanied by DC Attock Imran Hamid Sheikh, CEO Health Dr Mohsin Ashraf , Medical Superintendent Irfan Raza, Malik Ejaz of Saidan and Dr Javed.
Malik Amin said that this hospital will be built over an area of 75 kanal and will have state of the art facilities having capacity of 300 beds including a Nursing College.
He said that in this hospital, availability of qualified teams of physicians, technicians, nurses and administrative staff will be ensured to provide better health facilities. He said the purpose of having a nursing college is to overcome shortage of trained nursing staff. These fully-trained nurses will be able to work in Pakistan and abroad after qualifying from this college. Malik Amin said the hospital will have gyne and obstetrics block, gyne emergency, labour room, antenatal ward , postnatal ward, HDU, ICU, gynae ward, Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), indoor/day care room, anaemia treatment - room, peads ward, emergency (peads and neonatal), peads idoor, nursery/neonatology, peads ICU and neonatal HDU/ICU. He said beside this the hospital will have other allied facilities such as housing and accommodation for its staff which would accommodate a total of 320 staff members. Earlier, Malik Amin Aslam visited different portions of the under-construction hospital and directed the concerned to ensure quality of the work and its timely completion.
