Qureshi for backdoor diplomacy if needed

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the vitality of the backdoor diplomacy could not be overlooked and it might be used if was found in national interest, report said. Talking to newsmen prior to his departure to US to attend UN General Assembly session, Qureshi admitted that the backchannel diplomacy was used for the negotiations with India in former President General (r) Pervez Musharrafs regime. The FM said that the Pakistans stance on contentious issues with India would be put ahead in his meetings with Indian counterpart and foreign secretary. To a query Qureshi termed his statements on presence of Black Water in Islamabad enough to address concerns on the subject.
