PESHAWAR As many as 18 more tribesmen were killed and 22 others got injured on Thursday in the ongoing clashes between the two tribes over water dispute in Upper Kurram Agency. According to details, the ongoing clashes had erupted over two weeks ago between Bangash and Mangal tribes in Shalozan and Khewas areas over water dispute. It is believed that 10 suspected militants are among those killed in Thursdays clashes, whose dead bodies were taken into custody by the tribesmen. So far at least 54 tribesmen have been killed and over 80 others got injured from both the sides in the clashes. The rival groups are using heavy and sophisticated arms against each other. The locals said that clashes have intensified further as militant factions are reportedly taking part in the fighting. To calm the situation, the political administration of the Agency has already formed a tribal jirga to start negotiations with the fighting tribes.
