Factory owners asked to install fire extinguishers




RAWALPINDI - All the owners of factories, government and private offices, mills, educational institutions, bus stands and shopping centres in Rawalpindi division have been directed to install modern fire extinguishing instruments within two weeks.
After the tragic blaze incidents of Karachi and Lahore, on the specials directives of the commissioner Rawalpindi, all the factories, government and private offices, mills, educational institutions, bus stands, academies, populated areas, godown and shopping plazas of Rawalpindi district, along with other three districts of the division, have been served notices to install fire extinguishing instruments in their premises.  The commissioner also ordered major industrial units and owners of other buildings to provide emergency exit facility to avoid any untoward incident.
He warned the owners that failure to comply with the instructions would result in heavy fines and even closure of the premises.
