Hafeez should bat at No 3

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Twenty20 team skipper M Hafeez, who is also known as professor, has so far proved to be lucky for Pakistan team as he managed to win T20 series against Australia 2-1 thought their batting exposed in the last match.
Hafeez should bat at No 3 instead of opening the innings as Imran Nazir, who is selected as an opener, should open the innings with Nasir Jamshed who is a find of the series. The opening combination would boost Pakistan batting with left and right hand combination and the bowlers would find it difficult to adjust their line and length.
All-important World Twenty20 is set to commence from tomorrow in Sri Lanka. Hafeez must utilize his resources accordingly as he has a very balanced and talented side. The boys are more than capable of beating any given opponent in the final to lift the glittering trophy for the second time in their history.
Having services of Imran Nazir, Nasir Jamshed, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq and Hafeez in batting and Saeed Ajmal, Umar Gul and Sohail Tanveer in bowling, no other participating team in the Twenty20 World Cup except India had the amount of match winners in their ranks than Pakistan. Other teams rely on two or three players to win matches for their team but it is only Pakistan and India who are blessed with so many match winners and can turn the entire match in their team’s favour single-handedly.
Pakistan has all the required stuff and players who can be more than handy if all the players will be used sensibly. Its now up to Hafeez how he utilize his weapons available with him in his armoury for the mega event. If Hafeez managed to get even 50 percent from his players, no body can stop him from winning the prestigious World T20.
Pakistan is all set to take on archrivals India today (Tuesday) in the warm up match before the competitive action starts from tomorrow. It would provide Hafeez with an opportunity to access one of the main title contenders India. He has the chance of creating history by defeating India in a World Cup match, a feat none of his previous captains managed to do so, not even the great Imran Khan was able to give Pakistan victory against India in a World Cup match.
