IUB conducts entry test for admissions

BAHAWALPUR - The entry test for admissions in Engineering College was held at Baghdadul Jadeed Campus of Islamia University Bahawalpur here on Sunday. Around 2,800 candidates appeared in the test which was conducted by the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. Students and their parents appreciated and thanked IUB Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar for elaborated arrangements made to facilitate the students. On the occasion, foolproof security arrangements were put in place. The IUB Engineering College is offering admissions in four disciplines which include Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication and Computer Engineering. According to the university registrar, last date for the submission of admission forms is September 18, 2012 .Phd thesis viva voce held: The viva Voce of PhD thesis of Physics scholar Muhammad Hammad Aziz was held here the other day at Science Faculty Auditorium, Baghdadul Jadid Campus of Islamia University, Bahawalpur.Muhammad Hammad Aziz has completed his thesis under the supervision of Dr Muhammad Afzal Khan. University of Punjab Centre of Higher Energy and Physics Director Dr Haris Rasheed and Dr Zakariya Arif of Physics Department of Bahauddin Zakariya University were the external examiners of the open defence. IUB VC Dr Muhammad Mukhtar has felicitated Dean of Science Faculty Dr Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, Rao Muhammad Afzal Khan and Muhammad Hammad Aziz on successful open defence.
