RAWALPINDI – Punjab Youth & Sports Festival would be made successful with the joint efforts of elected representatives and other concerned officials.
This was decided in a meeting held here to review the preparedness of the sports festival . Coordinator Punjab Sports & youth Festival for Rawalpindi Division and MNA, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi presided over the meeting of sports officers, coaches and players of various games.
It was decided in the meeting that in Govt. Comprehensive high School, Dhoke Kashmirian, athletic track would be raised along with cricket ground which was already under progress and basket ball ground would also be made there.
It was informed that Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif would be moved for the provision of funds for establishing a sports hostel for the players coming from outside to compete the games being held from time to time in Rawalpindi.
It was further informed that Astroturf would be laid very soon in newly constructed hockey stadium Saidpur road and the approval of upgradation of sports gymnasium near cricket stadium and rubber floor be also obtained.
