Protests against sacrilegious movie continue


PESHAWAR - To condemn the US blasphemous film against Islam, activists of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf staged protest demonstrations and demanded of the government to deport US envoy from the country.
The protest rally was led by JUI-F leader, Senator Ghulam Ali, PTI leader Engineer Hamid-ul-Haq, provincial general secretary of Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen Mohammad Ali Karbalai and others.
Besides leader of JI and PTI hundred of students also participated in the rally. The protester blocked main GT road for all kind of vehicular traffic and chanted full-throated slogans against US and its allies. Beside GT Road severe traffic Jam was noticed on all the busy routs includes GT Road, University road and Tehkal Road.
Speakers said that main aim of the blasphemous film was to hurt the emotion of the Muslims. They said that at this critical juncture all the Muslims of the world should demonstrate unity to foil the evil designs of the enemy against Islam.
They added that United States and its media is playing with the sentiments and religious fait of the Muslims which could harm the relation between Muslim and non-Muslim world.
They demanded of the government not to follow the policies of US as an ally and cut off diplomatic relation. They also stressed the govt to expel the US ambassador from the country and convene an emergency meeting of the OIC.
 to pass a resolution against this blasphemous act.
