A loud wakeup call

The Federal capital is hosting marchers and the marchers have demands. Some call them constitutional demands and some say they are unconstitutional. Apart from this debate of ‘constitutional and unconstitutional,’ we can call this a patient gathering of people, as well as a wakeup-call for the nation. I know that there has been criticism about both the marches however; this is something unusual for Pakistan. Our country has never seen such a massive peaceful gathering in the Federal capital.
This peaceful temperament of Azadi and Inqilab marches represented the truly democratic face of Pakistan to the world. It clearly indicates that Pakistani people have knowledge of their rights and knowledge of Democracy.
People are not happy with current government and they are out on the roads peacefully to ask for their rights. This is what happens in democratic states. It’s a good sign for democracy to flourish and a good sign for Pakistan.
