LAHORE

LPG marketing companies again increased the prices of liquefied petroleum gas in just one week without any OGRA notification.
The LPG prices were increased by Rs.10 per kg, Rs.120 per domestic cylinder and Rs.480 per commercial cylinder.
“OGRA is not taking action against LPG mafia. Increased of Rs.20 per kg, Rs.240 per domestic and Rs.960 per Commercial cylinder in just one week is unjustified and that is all because of Government poor strategy,” said Irfan khokhar, Chairman LPG Distributors Association Pakistan. He alleged the LPG marketing companies were doing black marketing and earning illegal profiteering of Rs.2 billion per day. “Government owned LPG distribution companies such as Sui Southern Gas, PARCO and PSO take lead in raising the price. They are also involved in black marketing and earning illegal profiteering.”
He requested the Prime Minister to take strict action against LPG mafia.
