Roads to illegal cattle market sealed

Islamabad - Amidst standoff between local administration and cattle traders on the issue of vacating I-11 sector, Islamabad police on the directions of local administration have sealed the roads leading to the sector. The step is taken in the backdrop of tension between the local traders and the administration as the latter is trying the push the cattle traders to the designated market site in sector I-12. Assistant Commissioner Asghar Ali ordered the local police to seal the ways leading to the illegal market so that cattle buyers could not approach the traders. The CDA and local administration have been insisting the traders to vacate sector I-11 and move to the designated site in I-12 but got no positive response from the latter. Earlier, all efforts to resolve the issue amicably failed which led to the standoff.
