DERA GHAZI KHAN/SARGODHA/SAHIWAL-Girls grabbed top positions against their male counterparts as various boards of intermediate and secondary education unveiled the names of the top position-holders of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class 12th) annual examination, 2016 here on Friday.
In DG Khan, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced the names of toppers of the HSSC (class 12th) annual examination, 2016.
The list shows that two of the top three positions were grabbed by the boy students. The overall top position was clinched by Muhammad Mubeen Javaid of Govt College Kot Addu with 1,038 marks, Muhammad Nouman Khan of Divisional Public School and College DG Khan stood second with 1,036 marks while Shama Nosheen of Govt College for Women Muzaffargarh got third position with 1,034 marks.
In Pre-Medical Group (boys), Muhammad Nouman Khan remained at top with 1,036 marks, Nouman Jamshaid grabbed second with 1032 marks and Muhammad Ahmad Qureshi and Noor Elahi stood third jointly with 1029 marks each.
In Pre-Medical Girls (girls), Shama Nosheen stood first with 1034 marks, Fareeha Sohail second with 1030 marks and Qudsia Irum grabbed third position with 1029 marks.
In Pre-Engineering (boys), Muhammad Mubeen Javid stood first with 1038 marks, Muhammad Qasim Mehmood got 1029 marks and stood second while Muhammad Nouman Zafar grabbed third position, securing 1022 marks.
In Pre-Engineering (Girls), Tayyaba Shabir bagged first position with 999 marks, Iqra Maqsood stood second with 981 marks and Naima Sadiq bagged third position with 972 marks.
In Humanities and Commerce group (boys), Tahir Raza Ihtasabi stood first with 922 marks, Muhammad Jawad Qadir grabbed second with 906 marks while Muhammad Aamir Shehzad bagged third position with 903 marks.
In Humanities and Commerce group (girls), Sumera Maqsood stood first with 931 marks, Tehmina Batool bagged second position with 929 marks and Sidra Mazari remained third by securing 928 marks.
In General Science group, Nimra Khalid stood first with 987 marks, Faisal Habib grabbed second position with 963 marks and Zainab Noor captured third position with 954 marks.
In Sargodha, the BISE unveiled results of Intermediate annual examination 2016s. According to the result, a total of 36,851 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 23,898 were declared pass with a percentage of 64.85. The girl students outshined their male counterparts by grabbing all the three top positions. Noreen Ayesha Roll No 409917, student of Superior College Joherabad got first position with 1039 marks. Khansa Malik Roll No.401561 of District Public School and College Joherabad gained stood second with 1038 marks and Marriam Iqbal Roll No 401273 of Punjab College Joherabad obtained third position with 1037 marks. In Pre-medical group (boys), Waqar Ghazi, student of District Public School and College Joherabad got first position with 1026 marks, Fehad Hussain of the same institution stood next with 1024 marks while Punjab Science College Sahiwal student Muhammad Sheraz got 3rd position with 1023 marks. In Pre-medical group (female), Kansa Malik got first position with 1038 marks, Marriam Iqbal second with 1037 marks and Kainat Musharraf grabbed third position with 1035 marks.
In Sahiwal, the BISE announced intermediate annual examinations result. The overall passing percentage remained 57.68. A total of 33,664 students appeared in the examination out of which 19,384 were declared pass. Amna Tabasum, Roll Number 30731 and a student of Punjab College for Women Okara secured overall top position with 1048 marks. The second position went to Khansa Waris, Roll No 300921 and a student of Punjab College for Women Okara who got 1047 marks while the third position was grabbed by Ahmad Hassan Roll No 20422 and a student of District Public Boys Higher Education School Okara with 1042 marks. Sahiwal BISE Chairman Dr Anwar Ahmad announced the result on Friday.
