LAHORE: PIA's post-Haj operation is going to start from today and will last till October 16, 2016, a spokesman for the national carrier said yesterday.

During this period, 126 special haj flights would be operated from Jeddah and Madinah to 10 cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sukkur, Multan and Rahim Yar Khan.

In addition to these special flights, PIA would also transport the pilgrims through its 125 scheduled flights operating during this period.

In total around 52,000 pilgrims are expected to travel back to their homeland in PIA's post-Haj operation.

PIA Chairman Azam Saigol has directed all the departments to work in seamless coordination to successfully conclude the second phase of Haj 2016.–Staff Reporter

He also appreciated the efforts of the authorities concerned in carrying out pre-Hajj operation and facilitating the passengers, especially pilgrims.
