ISLAMABAD - Chairman PTI Imran Khan yesterday showed little hope about the success of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's upcoming visit to US.

"There will be no progress on the Kashmir issue in the UN and Mian Sahib is only visiting US for shopping and recreation," said Imran Khan while talking to reporters outside his residence in Bani Gala.

Khan questioned how the prime minister who is tainted with allegations of Panama leaks could represent Pakistan in the UN. He also made a strange demand of placing the PM's name on the Exit Control List.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif along with his delegation is visiting US from September 19 where he will participate in the session of the UN General Assembly and give his policy statement on September 21, the PM office said. It said that the PM would highlight the brutalities committed by Indian forces in Indian Held Kashmir in his statement.

The PTI chief said that his party would announce fresh date and plan of Raiwind march on coming Sunday after consultations with the senior party leadership. He said all parties wanted probe over the Panama papers. "What is the difference between the dictatorship of General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and democracy of Nawaz Sharif,” he said and added that PML-N was bent upon damaging institutions to save its corruption.

The PTI chief said the impression was wrong that PTI was taking a solo flight over the Panama leaks issue. He said that all opposition parties wanted probe and the PTI was contacting other parties for a joint protest strategy. "At least, Awami Muslim League of Sheikh Rasheed is with us on the issue," he said.

About the decision of PAT leader Dr Tahir ul Qadri not to join Raiwind march, Khan said the PTI stood by the PAT as injustice was done with it by killing its innocent workers. He said the PTI had no difference with the PAT. He also condemned the bomb blast in Mohmand Agency.
