Rawalpindi-Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Islamabad Sajid Kiani directed the police officers to improve their performance and take effective measures to control crimes and protect lives and properties of the people. He also ordered the officers to make an ongoing crackdown on the proclaimed offenders more effective. The SSP also asked the officers to make security of the media houses, educational institutes, banks and other important buildings more effective. Besides, he also directed them to take security measures regarding the holy month of Muharram in coordination with concern people.

SSP Kianai also asked the police officers to provide security to the officials of the polio teams in their respective areas.

He gave these directives during a meeting, which was also attended by SP Investigation Capt (Retd) Mohammad Ilyas, zones SPs, sub-divisional police officers , and station house officers.

The SSP reviewed the performance of the SHOs regarding the arrest of  proclaimed offenders. Later he directed the officers to make sure the arrest of POs in their respective areas and in this regard poor performance would not be tolerated.

Those found performing poorly will face departmental action, while the other who performs well will be awarded, the SSP told them.

He also directed the officers to complete the under-investigation cases without any delay on merit.

SSP Kiani also asked the SHOs to take effective measures to control the crime in their areas and in this regard utilise the Safe City project.
