Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (Retd) Safdar have reached Adaila Jail as their five-days long parole ended on Monday.

The three reached Rawalpindi via a special plane from Lahore airport. According to the media reports, Hamza Shahbaz, Salman and Yousuf Abbas, have been granted permission to accompany them to the airport.

Former chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has been granted special permission to accompany them on the special flight to Rawalpindi, the sources added.

Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz and his son-law Capt (Retd) Safdar's five-day parole granted by Punjab government to attend Begum Kulsoom's funeral will end on Monday at 4 pm.

The concerned authorities have completed all the preparations to shift Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (Retd) Safdar back to Adaila Jail.

Senior leadership and members of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz, currently present at Nawaz's Jati Umra residence in Lahore to meet him before he is taken to jail. 

The former premier, Maryam and Capt (Retd) Safdar were released on 12-hour parole after the Nawaz's wife, Begum Kulsoom, passed away on Tuesday in London.

On Wednesday, the Punjab government extended their parole by four days until 12 am on Monday, further, the parole was then extended till Monday 4 pm.

Earlier, PML-N leader Tanveer Hussain denied reports that the Sharifs have requested for another extension in their parole.

Begum Kulsoom was laid to rest on September 14 in Jati Umra. She passed away in London on September 11 after a year-long battle with cancer.
