JKSM welcomes Pak dossier on HR abuses in IIOJK

ISLAMABAD - Altaf Ahmed Bhat Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) on Thursday welcomed Pakistan’s dossier exposing grave human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Chairman JKSM in a statement said, “We highly appreciate and welcome the dossier by Pakistan which has exposed the grave human rights violation perpetrated by fascist Modi regime in IIOJK.”

Altaf Ahmed Bhat further said that Pakistan has supported the Kashmir cause and by exposing Indian brutalities before the world Pakistan has proved Indian fascist designs and hegemony in South Asia.

The alarming figures of human rights violations in IIOJK since 1989 are total killings 95,861, custodial killings                7,190, civilians arrested 162,137, structures arsoned/destroyed 110,432, women widowed 22,932. children orphaned 107,834, and women gang-raped/molested 11,245.

Chairman JKSM demanded release of Hurriyat leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Dr Abdul Hameed Fayyaz, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, who are languishing in jails for years.

Expressing serious concerns over the HR violations, Bhat said that the UN, UNSC, P5, OIC, SCO and all other regional organisations should put pressure on India to demilitarise IIOJK and start the process of plebiscite as agreed upon at UN.
