ISLAMABAD :  As a result of ongoing drive against violation of terms and conditions of allotment, the CDA has cancelled the allotment of 10 agro farmhouses in Poultry and Vegetable Schemes because the owners of these have not yet developed their agro farmhouses as per terms and conditions of the allotment letter.

These agro farmhouses have been served with seven days final show cause notices before the cancellation. Chairman CDA, Syed Tahir Shahbaz, has already directed Member Planning and Design, Syed Mustafain Kazmi, and Member Estate, Shaista Sohail, to take stern action without any discrimination against the owners of the agro farmhouses violating CDA by-laws.  The chairman issued these directions in the light of the Supreme Court of Pakistan's directives in a review meeting on operation against the agro farmhouses violating CDA by-laws. On this occasion Kazmi, Shaista and officers of Estate Management Wing, Building Control and Planning Wing, were also present.  

The chairman CDA was apprised that allotment of 10 agro farmhouses have been cancelled as these agro farmhouses had been allotted for the cultivation of fruit, vegetable and poultry purpose. Failing to meet up the terms and conditions of allotment, the farmhouses have been cancelled.

The Chairman CDA has directed CDA Magistrate to expedite recovery of fines from the violators whose cases for recovery of fine are under process. He directed officers of Law Wing to proceed the case for vacation of stay orders of those agro farmhouses who have obtained to avoid operations against their farmhouses.

To discourage wedding ceremonies at agro farms, the Chairman CDA directed for establishment of proper and effective monitoring system to keep vigilance on such functions.

The chairman CDA was informed that Estate Wing has issued 87 notices for violation of terms and conditions of allotment out of which 14 agro farmhouses have paid fine while cases of 13 agro farmhouses for recovery of fine are under process with CDA Magistrate. He was further informed that CDA demolished illegal structures at 12 farmhouses while owners of three agro farms houses have been given stay order by the courts.

The chairman CDA directed the concerned formations of the authority to raze the illegal structures without any discrimination if the owners do not comply with the orders of the authority.
