QUETTA - Four people, including two bodyguards of Chief of Jhalawan Sardar Sanaullah Zehri’s nephew, were killed and another 19 wounded in separate shootouts in Balochistan on Friday.

According to police, unidentified gunmen killed two bodyguards of Mir Dohda Khan Zehri and injured six others in Jinnah Town area of Quetta. Lawmen rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.

The motive behind the attack could be ascertained till filing of this report. Mir Dohda Khan Zehri is the nephew of Chief of Jhalawan Sardar Sanaullah Zehri who is a PML-N minister. The attack triggered panic among residents.

Separately, unidentified people sprayed a volley of bullets at a shop in Irrigation Colony on Sariab Road in Quetta, killing Noor Khan and wounding Kamisa Khan and Darshan Kumar. Security men reached the site and moved the deceased and injured to hospital. Police handed over the body to family after completing legal formalities. The motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.

An armed clash among shopkeepers erupted at a mall on Sariab Road, injuring eleven people, including two women. The injured were moved to the Civil Hospital. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

In Surab area of Kalat district, unidentified gunmen killed a man. Levies Force sources said Allah Bakhsh was heading to Surab from Gidar on his motorbike when he came under attack. Local administration moved his body to hospital for autopsy and started a hunt for the attackers.

Meanwhile, the Levies Force recovered a body from La-Bach area of Awaran district and moved it to hospital where the deceased was identified as Azam.
