LAHORE – The Tehrik-e-Istehkam-e-Pakistan Council has granted Quaid-i-Azam Gold Medal to noted journalist, thinker and Hameed Nizami Press Institute of Pakistan (HNPIP) Director Absar Abdul Ali.

The national award was given to Ali for rendering services in the field of journalism and literature in a ceremony on the occasion of the Independence Day. Earlier, Ali had received the Journalism Fourth Estate Award 2008 from the Punjab University Institute of Communication Studies and Dawa Academy International Islamic University. He started his carrier from daily ‘Qaumi Awaz’ as a sub-editor in 1957.
