HAFIZABAD - Hafiza Muqaddas Shahbaz, who secured third position in the BA/BSc annual examinations, has expressed her disappointment for being ignored in the provision of financial assistance as was given to other position-holders by the Punjab government.

While talking to this scribe, the third position-holder, a resident of Vanike Tarar, said that her father had died ten years back and she was the eldest of her eight siblings. She said that she along with her mother Bushra Bibi supported the family members by stitching clothes.

She said that all other position-holders were given prizes and monetary assistance but she was ignored which was deplorable.

She said that she wanted to continue higher studies but due to lack of financial resources and non-provision of any financial assistance. She appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister to honour his commitment to encourage the poor and talented youth.

“Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif has always patronised intelligent and talented student and I appealed to him to support me so I can keep continue my studies,” she expressed.
