PPP ready for elections: Warraich

LAHORE - Federal State Minister for Interior and PPP’s Central Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich has said that PPP is ready for elections and will inflict a crushing defeat on the opponents doing politics of fake political surveys and writ petitions.
While chairing a meeting of party’s Sialkot organisation on Friday, Warraich said those in the habit of counting PPP government’s failures at various TV talk shows should keep in mind the victory of PPP candidates in the recent by-elections.
Safdar expressed his confidence that people would elect PPP candidates in the coming elections due to Benazir Income Support Programme and other people-friendly policies. “Those doing their politics by hiding behind the institutions would meet a shameful defeat in next elections,” he added.
The minister said that PPP was ready for elections and would launch a mass-contact campaign very soon to mobilise public opinion in its favour.
The PPP leader asked district presidents to send their recommendations to complete organisational structure in the two tehsils of Shakargarh and Saddr within two weeks. He also issued instructions for holding of worker’s conventions in Narowal by the first week of September.
Warraich also constituted a committee comprising Ejaz Samma, Ghulam Abbas and Ejaz Cheema to sort out differences in the party’s Sialkot chapter.
