ISLAMABAD- Capital Development Authority (CDA), Chairman, Engineer Farkhand Iqbal on Friday directed the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) to aware people of the federal capital, concerning the epidemic diseases caused in monsoon, so that necessary measures can be taken when a situation occurs.

CDA, Chairman said this while addressing a meeting here at CDA. At the occasion DHS, director, told the chairman CDA that they are informing the people of the federal capital regarding the epidemic diseases caused in Monsoon.

DHS, director further said that in this weather people should be aware of hygiene and food safety precautions. He further advised the people to eat nutritious food and avoid eating out during rainy season. “Prepare meals with full precaution and maintain health and hygiene in the entire house,” he said.

At the occasion CDA, Chairman said that people should be aware of concerning epidemic diseases caused in Monsoon through advertisements in newspapers so that the people can take necessary measures.

The chairman also directed the DHS to take all necessary measures in the federal capital to keep it clean and disease-free during the Monsoon season so that people couldn’t get ill. It is pertinent to mention that with the monsoon many waterborne diseases outbreak. Cold, cough, fever, viral diseases, etc are common in this season.
