SADIQABAD - A seminar was held on ‘Real Independence’ under the aegis of the Progressive Youth Alliance, Rahim Yar Khan in connection with the Independence Day of Pakistan.
The seminar was presided over by Maulana Abdul Rauf Rabbani while the chief guest was Dr Aslam. The opening speech was delivered by Pakistan Trade Union Defence Complex organiser Haider Chughtai.
The other speakers included Mazhar Hussain, Ashraf Pir Jee, Naeem, Mazhar Saeed, Dr Ali Malik, Mian Faisal, Akram, Kashif, Dr Abdul Jabbar, Munir Ahmad, Abid Shah, Fazal Mehmood, Rabbani Baloch, Hassan Muawia, Nadeem Malik, Samee Baloch, Sajjad Shah, Abdul Rauf, Raees, Umair Yousaf and Ammar Nazir.  The speakers were of the view, “The history we are taught is of gentry and rulers and it is based on falsehood. On the other side, they added, the history of workers and labourers is based on reality such as the struggle of Bhagat Singh against British rule.
The true history is not only being concealed by the rulers but also distorted, they said.
The speakers also stressed the need for unity among labouers so as to get rid of the rulers who have failed to provide basic facilities to the masses such as electricity, health, residence and education.
