ISLAMABAD - Peur's top seed Diego Elias became the World Junior Individual Champion after thrashing Egyptian Omar El Atmas 3-0 in only 31 minutes in the final played in Namibia late Friday night. Unseeded Egyptian Habiba M Ahmed became the champion in ladies category after defeating second seed compatriot Nouran Gohar 3-1 in 44 minutes in the final. Diego defeated Omer, who put Pakistan’s top-contenders Ali Bokhari and Tayyab out of contention, 11-3, 11-2, 11-1. In the ladies final, unseeded Habiba continued her brilliant run in the final too, as she brushed aside second seed Nouran 3-1 in just 44 minutes to grab her maiden title. Habiba lost first game 5-11 but she came back very strongly and won next three games on trot 11-2, 11-7 and 11-6 to land the title. –Staff Reporter
