LAHORE - Three out of five angiography machines and two Gamma cameras used in Thallium tests are lying dysfunctional, adding to the miseries of poor patients visiting Punjab Institute of Cardiology.

With the waiting list for angiography and angioplasty swelling due to dysfunctional equipment, the poor are being given dates beyond six months for important tests as management is accommodating paying patients for getting share in treatment.

Medical Superintendent PIC Dr Obaida Nighat said that the equipment would be repaired soon as the process for importing parts has been started.
